Cham Tse Ling follows the Gelugpa Tradition founded in Tibet by the great scholar Lama Tsongkhapa in the 14th Century. The centre was established as an independent Gelugpa centre in November 1998 with the simple aim of bringing Tibetan Buddhist teachings to Lancashire and South Cumbria in England. Events are held in Preston and Blackpool in the county of Lancashire in North West England. We also plan to hold events in other towns throughout the region. Our eventual aim is to establish a traditional style residential centre in Lancashire.
