Children at Tharling Gompa Primary School

Tharling Gomba School, Nepal

We would like to increase our support to students in grades 1-6 at the Tharling Gomba School in Shardingma (Nalidanda) the village nearest to where Tolu Tharling Monastery (Tolu Gomba) is located. There are presently 36 students and two academic teachers whose salaries are provided by the government of Nepal. We would like to be able to support one religious teacher, so that formal religious education can also be given to the children.

If you would like to help by a one time donation or monthly donation toward the $80 to $100 monthly salary for a religious teacher; or by offering a sustaining scholarship of $20 per month to help support the housing, feeding and education of an orphaned child, or a child from a family too poor to be able to send their child to school, we are happy to accept designated donations for this project. We will be happy to send a photo and information about the student's progress, should you choose to offer a sustaining scholarship.

Sadhana Production

We are beginning a project of making sadhanas of The Dzogchen Konchog Chidu. We intend to include color plates of the thankas of the Konchog Chidu and Zhitro.
